Tell us a little about yourself:
I am a mother of 2 adorable little girls… a wife to an amazing man of 9 years… a t-shirt & jeans girl… an intense fan of chocolate… obsessed with my kids, babies feet and all things polka dot… and a firm believer that all things are possible. I love photography, and capturing the special moments of everyday. I am rarely seen without my camera, it is my creative outlet.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
Getting out of the house and having “me time”. It’s a rare thing now that I’m a mom, but I NEED it. Even if it means going to the grocery store without the kids. Or window shopping. Sometimes I just walk through a store, just browsing, not buying. And other times I’m super lucky enough to get out with some friends for coffee!
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes?
This falls into the “me time” category. I need to do something for me, for my health – mentally and physically. I am a much better mom, wife, friend when I can get out of the house and sweat off whatever the week has brought my way. And I feel re-energized after class – I can take on the world!... okay well maybe just the laundry that’s piling up.

1. Taylor has multiple talents, but most of all she’s super smart and can negotiate her way into (or out of) anything…. We call her “the master negotiator”. We always have to be 2 steps ahead of her.
2. Hailey is our fashionista. She is obsessed with clothes, shoes & shopping. (Did I mention she is only 4) But she looks so cute when she’s pulled together an outfit consisting of a top, leggings, skirt, sparkly shoes, necklaces & bracelets galore, sunglasses and most days a tiara. (yeah, we’re in trouble).
3. My girls have an extremely close bond. I love seeing how affectionate they are with each other.

Tell us a little about yourself: I’m a physician trained in family practice and psychiatry, practicing mostly psychiatry (hence my anonymity!). I work 80% time, which of course means I work around 40 hours/week. I have two beautiful girls, Raven (5) and Mari (22 months), and a wonderful husband, Dave, who is also a psychiatrist. In addition to career and home, I do a whole bunch of things related to my work interests and kids: officer in our regional professional society, co-leader of Raven’s Daisy troop, volunteer at a student-run free clinic, and Raven’s school’s PTO! I came to Sacramento in 7th grade and have been here or in Davis ever since with the exception of medical school (in Ohio). My parents live in El Dorado Hills, so we’re actually trying to move up there so the girls can spend more time with them (i.e., free babysitting!!).
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life? Besides StrollerFit and RTC, I get together with my friends from high school once a month for brunch/lunch. We’ve been having an annual Christmas party for over 20 years! And although it sounds weird, I consider working something I do for myself. I love my work and feel that I’m setting a great example for my girls in making a difference in the community and helping others. While I don’t expect them to become doctors, I hope that they will find ways of their own to make the world better and contribute back to society. Okay, and I love shopping! Macy’s and Target are regular stomping grounds in my free hours!
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes? I love that Wendy makes classes personal. She encourages, motivates, and instructs. When you miss a few classes, she checks in with you; not in a guilt-tripping kind of way, but with genuine caring. I also love the camaraderie and engagement with other moms/women outside of work. I love RTC so much I put together a private class that’s been going on for 4 months!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 Raven plans to be an artist and loves to paint, draw, and color. We have her paintings displayed all over the house, but have to rotate them out periodically because she’s so prolific.
2 Mari is strong and strong-willed. We knew we were in trouble when she was delivered, put on my chest, and she lifted up her head to look at me!
3 Raven is also a great big sister/mommy-in-training. She shows amazing patience with Mari and is usually very kind. You all know what happens during the times other than usually!

Tell us a little about yourself:
I grew up in Rhode Island and attended college in New Hampshire. I have been living in California for the past 15 years. I initially moved with friends to San Francisco and eventually met my husband, Matt. After attending graduate school in Oakland, we decided to move to Elk Grove to buy a home about 5 years ago. We experienced some difficulties starting our family but it was worth the wait. We have a gregarious 2 year old, Athena and a sweet 8 month old, Petra. Before becoming a SAHM, I worked as a child development specialist in an early intervention program.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
Lately it has been difficult to do things for myself however I manage to stay in close contact with friends and family. Before children I enjoyed reading and hiking, I'm beginning to initiate these activities more often. As a family, we try to take at least one weekend trip a month.
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes?
For the past 2 years, strollerfit has been a wonderful way to start our day. The concept of exercising with your kids is brilliant. Strollerfit has allowed me to incorporate exercise on a daily basis, while meeting other women and establishing wonderful friendships. It has fostered great friendships for Athena as well. Another great benefit that has organically evolved from attending on a regular basis, is Athena's interest in exercising. I hope she will grow up understanding and appreciating the importance of exercise. Plus, it's just FUN!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 Athena is independent, resilient, and developing a great sense of humor. I'm enjoying living life through her eyes and sharing her first experiences. She finds everything exciting with such extreme passion.
2 Athena just had her first day of preschool a couple of weeks ago. I walked into the classroom excited to hear how her first day turned out. I observed her sitting in the teacher's chair at circle time. She was eagerly trying to get the children to sit back on the carpet to demonstrate her teacher skills by saying "everyone sit down" however all the children were getting up to greet their parent. She soon realized I was there to pick her up and I was greeted with a "noooooooo". She clearly had a great time at school.
3 Despite all her crying at strollerfit and her great detestation for the stroller, Petra is easy going. She is beginning to show a great interest in music. She enjoys spontaneous clapping and will bounce to anything that remotely sounds like music.

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I try to find time for myself at some point in the day. . .with three boys three years and younger it can be challenging! I do make time to get together with friends and do girls nights out just to laugh and share stories. My husband and I also try to do regular date nights--thank goodness for grandparents who will babysit!
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes?
I love the way I feel after I've gone to class. I always feel energized after class (and sore, but that's a good thing!)I also love the camaraderie among the moms--and the kiddos!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 Dominic is my three year old explorer. He loves to take things apart and figure things out. He also loves trains and can regularly be seen wearing a conductor hat in class. He is a very inquisitive little man who has a natural love of learning.
2 Andrew is my first born twin. He is a sweet-natured little man who always has a smile. He is a very enthusiastic eater and almost always says "Mmmmm" while eating--almost after every bite!
3 Nate is my baby (or the second born twin). He is a spit fire and has a great sense of humor. He has always been very verbal and has great conversations with others, even if he is the only one who can understand them!

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with a child in your life?
At least twice a month I try to get out with my girlfriends. In the morning I also like to get ready before all my kids are awake. It makes getting everyone out the door a little easier. I like to take my time putting on my makeup it makes me feel girlie
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes?
I like the interaction with other women and especially exercising outdoors.
Brag about your children - 3 funny stories or just general bragging:
I have 4 girls - Natalie 7, Haley 5, Kate 2 and Lindsey 6 mos. They keep me constantly on the go. They always tell funny stories about how "so and so is mean at school" and "this boy likes me" (it is starting already! Oh boy) They all love makeup, of course, and dressing up. They are so fun and I love hanging out with them.

Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I was born and raised in Sacramento. I met my husband at Cost Plus of all places and we married in 2001. We waited to have children so I could finish school and we could enjoy being footloose a fancy free for a while. We had our son, Justin, in November 2008 and we have loved every minute of being parents. Both my husband and I work full time but we enjoy every minute we get to spend together as a family. When not busy working or taking care of my family I like to read and catch up on some "me" time.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with a child in your life?
I make sure that I keep in touch with all of my friends and make it a point to get together with them and stay in touch whether its for lunch or coffee. I also make try to make sure that my husband and I get to spend some quality time together whether its watching a movie or having a date night.
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes?
I love the mommymuscle and Restore the Core formats. They are very easy to follow and they work for all fitness levels. I don't feel overwhelmed or pressured into working harder then I should to get faster results. I can work at my own pace and gradually improve myself. Its a great way to network with other mommies and get back into shape and feel better about myself.
Brag about your child - 3 funny stories or just general bragging:
1. I love my quiet time with Justin. I love putting him to sleep each night. He lays his head on my shoulder and wraps his arms around my neck. I know that he will not be this little forever so I savor every moment that I get to hold him and rock him to sleep.
2. He is such a good boy, very easy going, and such the little flirt its priceless.
3. His giggles always make me laugh and my heart melts every time he smiles.

Tell us a little about yourself:
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
Mommy Muscle and Restore the core of course! I have also taken to jogging. Even if I can only get in one mile, it's a tremendous stress reliever.
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes?
The results! I have lost a total of 12 pounds and a few inches, and I can even fit into my "skinny" jeans again. Good thing too, because I was very close to donating them to Goodwill. I just never thought I could get back into those jeans. Also, the new friends that I have met encourage me to come. My friend Amy told me about Strollerfit, and I am so glad she did!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1. When my son Connor came to visit me in the hospital after I had our second son Colton, he saw me breastfeeding for the first time. He had this very concerned look on his face, he took a step closer and exclaimed, "Oh no! Baby Colton is eating Mommy!"
2 Connor(3 1/2 yrs) is a very sweet and caring soul. This weekend he was playing chase with a friend, and his friend took a tumble. Connor ran back to her quickly, helped her dust off her pants, asked her if she was OK, then said, " Are you ready to chase me again buddy?"
3 Colton is a daredevil at the tender age of 13months. He takes new risks every day, and his firey personality is as bright as his red hair. He's super friendly, and the very best cuddler.

Tell us a little about yourself:
I grew up in Santa Rosa and went to college at Chico State where I met my husband, Todd. We were married in 2003 and started our life together in Elk Grove. I taught elementary school for six years prior to going on maternity leave. I am a stay at home mom to twins Landon and Makenna, who are 26 months and Weston, who is 4 months. When I am not busy with my kids, I enjoy scrapbooking (just switched to digital), shopping(without children), traveling, working out, and reading.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I enjoy dinner with friends, getting a pedicure, or going shopping whenever I can. I always feel like I am a better mommy when my battery is recharged!
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes?
I really enjoy how I feel when I have worked out. Talking with other moms during class is a lot of fun! It is nice to be with people who are going through the same thing you are!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 Landon is just the cutest when he plays with his trains and cars. Just recently he has been all about them! I love watching him play.
2 Makenna is a sweetheart and loves to make sure everyone is OK. If Landon or Weston is crying she will rub their back. She will even give a hug or a kiss if they let her! :)
3 Weston is the best baby. His smile melts my heart.

Tell us a little about yourself:
Jason and I have been married for 6 years and we have been living in Elk Grove for 5 years. Our son Lex will be 3 in June and we are expecting our second child in April. Before I had Lex I worked at a Sacramento laboratory in their administration department, however since Lex was born I chose to be a stay at home Mom. I enjoy traveling with Jason and spending time with our families and friends. My favorite hobby is to camp and Jeep all around California with Jason and our Jeep club. Since starting a family our Jeep trips have been few and far between, however we have managed to get a couple trips in here and there. We even took Lex on his first Jeep run and camping trip last year. Lucky for us, Lex loves the outdoors!
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
Since I don’t work I have more time to create and maintain friendships. Both Jason and I have some great friendships through Stroller Friends.
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes?
There actually isn’t much that stops me from attending classes. Wendy is a great motivator and always keeps the classes fun and creative. Lex has learned several of the songs we sing, he’s being taught that exercise is fun and we are making friends along the way. The daily classes are a great start to our day.
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 Lex has a huge vocabulary, speaks in full sentences and has a mind like a steel strap. He frequently will ask about something that happened 6 or so months ago and manages come up with questions about anything and everything, all day long….
2 We own a Yukon and a Jeep. The other day I was driving the Jeep with Lex. I told him that we needed to make a U-turn. He corrected me and said “No Mama, it a Jeep turn”. Apparently one can only make U-turns in a Yukon!
3 Last week a Led Zeppelin song came on the radio and Lex wanted to know “what’s that guy hollering about?”

Tell us a little about yourself:
Hi there! I'm a first time, stay at home mama to sweet boy Owen Michael Gray! Owen will turn 3 years old in May. I waited so long to hear him say, "Mama" and now he says it about a million times a day! Owen is such a talker – we love it! I've been married a little over 5 years to my husband, Aaron Michael Gray. I kept my maiden name just to confuse people! I'm originally from Stockton, CA, just down the road. Aaron and I met at CSU Chico through a mutual acquaintance. I graduated in 2002 with a degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. I did a couple semesters of grad school before making the tough decision to follow a different life path. I'm so glad I did too because I LOVE being a wife and a mother! Aaron grew up in Red Bluff, CA and graduated from CSU Chico in 2003. 2003 was a very big year for us, Aaron graduated in May, took a position with Burnett +Co LLP and moved to Rancho Cordova in June, proposed to me in July, and we were married and I moved to Rancho Cordova 6 weeks later in August! We now live in Sacramento, just outside the Elk Grove city limits.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
Owen's birth turned our world upside down! He became our #1 priority, practically our only priority. We arranged our entire lives around him. It's only been in the past year or so that I've started making myself a priority again. Enter StrollerFit. I now enjoy new activities since becoming a mom and have rediscovered some old favorites! StrollerFit is one of my new favorite activities, as well as running with Mom's In Motion, taking pictures and making albums of all our activities, and I recently started a blog. Some old favs are baking, reading, shopping, and hanging out with friends. Also, Owen and I accompanied Aaron on two business trips last year. Owen LOVED flying in an airplane and staying in a hotel! I'm eager to take a real family vacation this year.
What keeps you coming back to mommymuscle classes?
My arms don't flap when I wave Hello anymore!!! Wendy had shown me that exercise can be fun, and working out with Owen is the best! I know I'm setting a good example for him when I see him emulating our workouts. I feel stronger, healthier, and fitter than I ever have before. I'm amazed at what my body can do – here I am in my 30s doing push-ups and running 5ks – I never would have thought I could! Wendy believes I can do anything and now I do too! StrollerFit is so much more than just exercise though, it is a community of wonderful moms and their kiddos. We care about what is going on in each other's lives and support and encourage each other in and outside of class.
Brag about your child – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 Owen loves parties! Birthday parties, Christmas parties, New Year's parties… Somewhere around 2 years 3 months old he really started to grasp what a birthday party is. He gets so excited whenever we are going to one. When he turned two I got away with a low key family gathering for his birthday but this year he is eager to have a party of his own, "with candles, and presents, and a piñata please mama."
2 Owen's best friend is his sit n scoot Thomas the Tank Engine. Owen bathes him, feeds him, hugs and kisses him (and insist we do too!), puts him to bed at night, and wakes him up in the morning. Thomas is affectionately known around our house as "bop-bop." Owen has been a fan of Thomas since before he could say Thomas so he tried to imitate Thomas' "peep-peep" and it came out "bop-bop" and has been ever since!
3 We bought Owen a kid's digital camera for Christmas. He loves taking pictures – who does he get that from I wonder? ;0) Anyway, it is one of those be careful what you wish for gifts because I was really intent on getting the camera and now he is obsessed with it! He carries it all over the house and I never know when he is filming or taking a picture unless it flashes and the flash is frequently off. The other day I was scrolling through the pics and imagine my surprise to find a picture of myself, naked!!! SCREAM and delete! He had walked into the bathroom while my back was turned and snapped a picture of me in the tub. Moral of the story: BEWARE of toddler's with cameras!! LOL!

Tell us a little about yourself:
I LOVE being a Mommy!!! Being a stay-at-home mom is the best and most rewarding job I have ever had! My husband, Gary, surprised me with tickets to the Governor’s Women’s Conference in October. It was my first night away from my children. The conference was extremely motivational and empowering. It inspired me to make plans for my forties!! I decided to dream big and work on world peace!
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with children in your life?
I look at this time in my life as very short. I still can’t believe my twins turned 4 on Saturday. I’ve just begun doing more for myself. I’m trying hard to exercise 3 to 4 days a week. I also enjoy following current events. I became addicted to CNN during the election, and I continue to enjoy watching all of the transition coverage.
What keeps you coming back to class?
I really enjoy Wendy’s extremely positive attitude, and I really want to be healthy and strong for my family! I learned from Wendy during the Hot Mama Fitness Challenge that our health is key to being a successful mom, and that we shouldn’t let anything impede us on our way to a healthier lifestyle. I really took this to heart. I also have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the other women in the classes.
Brag about your children:\
1. Marielle is extremely kind and thoughtful. My mom and dad gave her $5.00 and took her shopping at the Dollar Store for the first time in November. She had never spent her own money in a store before. The first item she decided to buy was a Christmas hand towel for me. I was very touched by this gesture.
2. Garrett just turned 4 on Saturday and has the patience and skills to complete 100 piece puzzles. I’m very proud of him.
3. Cady is my entertainer. She insisted on taking musical theatre with Marielle and Garrett even though she is only 2 1/2. She has learned 3 songs for the performance and will sing in front of an audience on December 19. Cady loves to sing and has an amazing ability to memorize lots of songs for her age.

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
Running (Mom's in Motion) and soccer. Both allow me to keep me moving and with soccer, I get a bit of frustration out. :)
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit, Restore the Core and mommymuscle classes?
The workouts and how great I feel afterward. After having Evan, I thought it was going to be a slow process to get back in shape. Now, I see and feel the difference from the classes everyday. After 11 weeks, I only have 5 more pounds until I am back to pre-Evan weight. :)
Brag about your child(ren) – 2 funny stories or just general bragging
1. It is 6am and the garbage trucks are outside waiting to start their route. Just then you hear the click of the light switch and the blinding light coming from outside your bedroom door. You hear something, a bit muffled by the trucks outside, but you can connect the words enough to make out the "I awake Mommy. I thursty!". After you realize that you are too late and hear the pitter pat of footsteps down the stairs and into the kitchen.
As you are getting out of bed, you think that is just the lid the toy box being opened. You see otherwise as you descend the stairs and notice that the kid (as she calls herself) with one of her cups. With cup and lid in hand, the kid moves towards the freezer, opens the drawer and pulls out the top rack, so one can reach the ice. You move in to intervene, so that the ice does not become a new toy and you are told, quite forcefully, "No! I do it!!"
After filing the cup with ice, comes the "SCHREECH .. thunk" of the stool from the pantry and hitting fridge. The door is tugged and opens hitting the wall behind. The kid steps up on the stool and stretches as far as possible to reach the button for the cool water. Once the cup is half full, steps down, reciting, "You be very careful with this." The kid places the lid on the cup and quietly walks over sipping her cool ice water.
This is Taylor's process for getting her own ice water in the morning. As you can tell she does not like any help when getting it.
2. Evan can laugh and cry at the same time. :)

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I try to take some time for myself each day to read a book, chat with friends or family, or just take a walk by myself. I also make a point to get together with friends or family a couple of times each month. My husband and I are also starting to plan some weekends away now that our kids are a little older.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit and Restore the Core classes?
All of the moms are so friendly, and it's been really special watching all the kids grow and change. Such wonderful company makes exercise go by quickly and not seem like work! The exercise makes me feel healthy and strong, and I know I'm setting a great example for my kids.

Alex is 3 1/2 and is becoming much more sophisticated with his language. We had zucchini for dinner one night, and he said, "Daddy, does zucchini come from the zoo?"
2 Julia is 14 months old, and she has already perfected her teenage scowl. She will pout, give us the puppy dog eyes, and sometimes even squeeze out some tears. She sometimes does it just to make us laugh!
3 I think it's really special that my kids respond so well to each other. They get along well, and I'm enjoying that while it lasts! I hope that I can teach them to value their relationship as they get older.

I've lived in Elk Grove for 20 years this summer! I can't believe all the changes I've seen over the years. I attended Elk Grove High and then went on to UC Davis where I earned a degree in History. I met my wonderful husband, Brian, through a former teacher and we were married in April, 2001. He now teaches history at EGHS and has coached the Varisty Women's basketball team there for 9 years. I have a secondary ed. credential but right now just work as a substitute teacher 1 day a week. I'm so fortunate to be able to stay home with Carter and enjoy watching him grow. I am loving being a mom and can't wait to add to the family!
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I still enjoy getting together with my girlfriends for coffee or going out shopping with my mom for a girl's day! I also try to sneak in some reading whenever I get the chance!
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
Since coming to Strollerfit, I have so much more energy. I sleep better and just feel better all around. Carter loves getting outside and all the activities that we do. It's been great to meet some really nice people and watch their children grow since we started coming.
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1. I'm sure some of you have seen Carter do his favorite strollerfit move... at the end of class he gets really into the 3 deep breaths and swinging his arms over his head. I think it's so cute because he'll stop running or wahtever he's doing to do that with us at the end.
2. When we are out places, if someone says, "Hi!" to Carter he almost always responds with, "Hi, baby!" I think we must say that to him and of course people laugh when he says it so he keeps on doing it. It's pretty funny but also a little embarrassing depending on who he says it to!
3. Carter has learned his alphabet and to spell his name. Anytime someone asks him what his name is he'll say, "C-A-R-T-E-R!" and then get a big smile on his face. Most people have to then ask me what he just said!

Tell us a little about yourself:
My name is Sharlene and I am mama to one year old Olivia - she just turned one, so that sounds really weird! I have been married almost 5 years to my husband Nick, who grew up just south of Elk Grove in the metropolis of Galt, CA. I grew up in the Horse Capitol of the World - Norco, which is a small town in Riverside County. My husband and I both graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where we were agriculture majors. I work part time for the California Farm Bureau Federation.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with a child in your life?
Riding horses has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, I board my horse Star here in Elk Grove and ride her every weekend. I have owned her since I was 12 years old, so she is a member of our family. I also love to scrapbook, read and travel. Our favorite places to go - Maui and San Luis Obispo.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit and Restore the Core classes?
Results! I'm not going to get up at 6 am on Friday mornings just for fun! RTC has been the first class that I have taken where I have really seen a change in the way my body looks. I love when Wendy adds a new move and I laugh thinking I can't do it and then surprise myself when I can. And I love Strollerfit classes because it lets me execercise with Olivia. The icing on the cake is all the new friends I have made, I keep coming back because I love keeping up with what's going on in everyone's life, getting tips on how to deal with what's coming next in the baby world and watching their babies grow so fast just like mine has.
Brag about your child – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1.Olivia is learning baby signs like crazy, it seems she picks up a new one every day. Today she came in to the bathroom where I was getting ready for work, flapping her arms up and down and pointing out to our dining room. I followed her to the sliding glass door where she pointed outside and flapped her arms again. Much to my surprise there was a bird just outside the door. I just taught her the bird sign the day before - babies are like sponges, they just absorb everything!
2. Olivia's favorite song is the hokie-pokie. She loves to clap her hands, stomp her feet and throw her hands up in the air and yell hooray! It is so darn cute. All I have to do is say "If you're happy and you know it" and she is clapping her hands in anticpation.
3. Gosh - it's fun to have free reign to brag. Olivia loves to take a bath. She can be in the living room playing with her books and as soon as she hears the shower curtain in the bathroom slide open she jumps up, starts rubbing her chest (sign for bath) and runs to the bathroom. We have to spell out bath because if she hears us talk about it, she's in the bathroom tyring to take her clothes off. Crazy kid!

Tell us a little about yourself:
I am 31 years old, the mother of 2 – Madison, who will be 4 on March 5th, and Kailey, who will be 2 on March 8th. I have been married for 8 years to my college sweetheart, Rob. This past year, we embarked on probably the craziest, scariest, most exciting and, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it becomes the most rewarding, adventure of our lives when we opened Funtastic Play Centers in Elk Grove with my sister Stacie. We currently live in Lincoln and commute to Elk Grove on a daily basis. Along with our commute and going from being a stay-at-home mom to a working mom who brings her kids to work, our lives have been turned upside down but we’re all adjusting to our new, busy and wonderful life!!
What do you still do for yourself, even with children in your life?
I go out with my best girlfriend once a month (or try to anyway … since Funtastic opened, I feel like it is more like every 3 months!) but I need the escape and feel so much more refreshed after a girl’s night out.

Since they are at Funtastic, I have no choice but to come!! But seriously, I am so happy we have them at Funtastic to MAKE me be there, no excuses because I really do love the class and absolutely love the results!!
Brag about your children. 3 funny stories or just plain bragging.
1 Kailey is my almost-2 year old and she’s a great singer! She sings along with every song she does or doesn’t know … My favorite is “Fruit sadad … yummy yummy!” …
2 Madison is my very spirited almost-4 year old (thank goodness – 3 has been a rough year and I am so hoping that 4 is better than 3!!)!! She is very self-sufficient and loves to get dressed all by herself … over and over and over and over throughout the day. We just got her a great hand-painted dresser where all of the drawers have something completely different painted on them in hopes of getting some organization/clothes putting-away routine down in her world instead of throwing 15+ outfits a day around her room … !! J
3 Both of my girls absolutely love Diego … they know all of these great, exotic animals – jaguars, manned wolves, spectacled bears, llamas, etc. We were at the park last summer and a squirrel ran by … Madison said “what’s that?” … it just cracked us up … guess we need to spend a little more time out in the backyard!!! What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with a child in your life?
I make it a point once a month for atleast a lunch date with the girls. I try to keep up on scrapbooking, cross-stiching and just spending time relaxing with my husband.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit and Restore the Core classes?
I love the daily routine. Getting out of the house in the morning to exercise with friends starts the day off right. I love talking to other moms about their kids and getting advice from them.

1 Aubrey has always giggled when we walk her up and down the stairs. We love the workout! :)
2 Aubrey is now starting to babble, which is so cute, but when it gets a little too quiet I know she is exploring something that she shouldn't be. (We need to baby-proof the house.)
3 Aubrey now gives us kisses, granted they are open mouth, slobery and on the cheeks, but I wouldn't have them any other way.

3 He just learn how to do peekaboo but instead of putting his hands on his face, he puts them on his ears. It is very funny.

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I need my mommy time out! As often as I can, I try to go out with my husband or girlfriends to blow off steam. It is amazing how recharged I feel after a great night out.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
My daughter and I love our time together during class singing, dancing and playing! But, most of all it's how strong it has made me feel.
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1. There is nothing my 5yr old son loves more than trying to make his little sister giggle...sometimes he gets pretty funny and I love to see the little person he is becoming.
2. Lauren at 2 1/2 is so literal. One day at Strollerfit she spilt her snack by our blanket. I told it "It's ok, we will go feed that to the ducks". As I continued my core workout, I notice her walking farther and farther away (those of you who know Lauren know she doesn't leave my side). I ran to her and asked where she was going and she looked at me, nose scrunched, and said "feed the ducks!" Duh mommy...
3. Yesterday, as we were driving, Lauren started singing "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" perfectly demonstrating how it's done on her dolly...at the top of her lungs...until her brother stopped laughing hysterically!

We moved to Elk Grove last summer from Anchorage, Alaska where I taught elementary school. My husband, David, and I have 5 children total: Brett (age 20) was a foster child originally, but he continued to live with us when he out grew the foster care system. We've had him since he was six, and we consider him one of our children. Lora (age 17) and Racheal (age 15) are biological sisters whom we have adopted. They came to live with us when they were 5 and 3 years old, respectively. Benjamin (age 6) and Sam (15 mos.) are both our biological children. Ben just started first grade, and Sam enjoys coming most days to StrollerFit.

2 The older kids (when they're in a good mood) are really quite compassionate and kind about helping with the little ones.
3 Sam tries to do everything Benjamin does. (He sees no difference in their ages or size.) During Ben's karate lesson, Sam ran out on the mat and did some punches with a loud "kia" before I could stop him.

1. The other day I left the room momentarily to get something. As I was coming back I called out, "David, are you being a good boy?" He said, "No." Sure enough he was sliding down his little slide with a bendy straw in his mouth!
2. Everytime David wants to go outside (which is all the time), he stands at the sliding door and says "Shoes".
3. David has a large vocabulary which seems to be growing daily. He tries so hard to learn words he doesn't know and can say at least the first syllable of many of them.

2 Ethan loves to hide things…I am always finding remote controls, keys, snacks and even old milks in the oddest places. Sometimes he finds them before I do! Old Milk…yuck!
3 Ethan is now at that point where he feels he MUST use utensils when he eats….even if it is a finger food. Today he ate his peanut butter sandwich with a fork.

Tell us a little about yourself: I am a (mostly) stay-at-home-mom to Anthony (age 4) and Austin (almost 16 months). I say "mostly" because I teach 6 hours a week for a homeschool organization (Algebra and Geometry) and I am also a Creative Memories consultant.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life? I make plenty of time for my favorite pasttimes - scrapbooking, stamping/card-making, and quilting! I also read for pleasure as much as I can.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes? The results! I have lost 10 pounds since I started coming regularly at the beginning of this year. I can also feel myself getting stronger. A big "plus" for me is also the fact that I can exercise with my baby. I have a gym membership but I could never leave Austin in their childcare. I would worry way too much!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1) Anthony's preschool teacher says he is the best fruit and vegetable eater in the whole school! He eats any and all of the fruits and veggies she prepares for snacks and lunch. Also, if it's someone's birthday and they give out cupcakes, Anthony is the only child who finishes his entire lunch before he digs into his cupcake. (And to be honest, he didn't get those good habits from me!)
2) Austin knows several signs but he wasn't saying much. Then his language exploded a couple of weeks ago and since then he has been learning 1-2 new words every day. I love hearing his little voice! His favorite words right now are "ball," "no," and "Ewwww" (which I'm sure he picked up from Anthony).
3) Last month Anthony was arguing with my husband, and my husband said, "Who's the boss - you or me?" Anthony looked at him like he was a complete idiot and replied, "mom!"

1. He gets daily complements from strangers on his flirty smile and beautiful red hair. And who in our family has red hair??? Nobody.
2. Today he learned the letter "D" and will say it out loud when we show it to him :-)

I've always been an exerciser. I hope I set a good example for my son by exercising with him like we do in the StrollerFit classes. I enjoy getting to know the other mommies and kids. I've seen some good fitness results since starting--I've lost eight pounds and I'm down one pant size!
Brag about your child - 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1. The other day I took Sean to a friends' house. Her 2 year old has a miniature toy cofee maker. Sean spent the whole time pretending to make coffee. I guess he's watching his mommy and daddy more than I thought!
2. My mother-in-law says that Sean is speaking glossolalia now--that's the incomprehensible speech where he knows what he's saying, but nobody else does (apparently his daddy spoke that, too, when he was a baby...)
3. Whenever I bend down to pick up something on the floor when Sean is in his high chair, he thinks I'm starting a game of peeka boo. He squeals and acts all surprised when I pop up again. I always go along with it and play for a while...he's a funny guy.

What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
I love to be able to get out and exercise with my babies and they really enjoy getting out as well.
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 I could watch them play together for hours. Just in the last month they have started really interacting with each other, it’s been fun. Most people think that it’s so much harder to have twins but they keep each other company. Meaning, mommy gets other things done.
2 Victoria is very picky about what she eats, recently she has started shaking her head no, no and closing her eyes when she doesn’t like something.
3 Vincent has started letting go and standing on his own, when he realizes what he’s done, he gets startled and falls.

1.) His new obsession is saying "MAMA"! Now not only does it mean mama but it means give me this and give me that. You will here it in class often.
2.) He loves to talk and is actually saying quite a bit. He loves to copy sounds, words and noises. He has so many animal noises down now and does them any time he sees one. I am constantly on the lookout for the duck, cat, dog, cow, etc that he just seen, and there is always one around rather alive or in print.
3.) He loves to climb and now that we have moved into a two story home I am more tired than ever. All I have to say is up and he is running toward the stairs and up as fast as he can go.

What do you still manage to do for yourself with children in your life?
I steal time whenever I can. Whether it's the kids going to bed early (or at the same time), leaving my husband in charge or simply retreating to clean my bedroom. I like to go to movies or just seek some retail therapy!
What keeps you coming to StrollerFit?
As I get a bit older and after 4 kids, my girlish figure has seen different days. It takes a bit more work and if I can bring the kids, it's that much easier. Plus, there is the added benefit of being around women in a similar situation and the connections that brings. I also like to support another mom who is doing something productive, fun and beneficial on her won. Yeah Wendy!
Brag about the kids...
My kids are infinitely more intelligent and funny than I was at any of their ages (almost 10, 7, 5 and nearly 2). They have a dry sense of humor on some days and side splitting physical funnies the next. They still see the world with great humor and can recognize the subtleties of situations. There is never a dull moment at my house. They love each other despite the bickering and hopefully that will last a lifetime.

What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
I want to lose this baby weight! Plus I want to be as healthy as I can be! I also enjoy the interaction with other moms and the opportunity for my children to socialize with other children in their age group.
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 When Ashlie was six months old, we were at a friend's house for a party. I had Ashlie sitting on my lap with my plate of food in front of me. Before, I could stop her, she grabbed some Asian noodles off of my plate and shoved it in her mouth. Needless to say, I don't have to worry about her eating. Her older sister on the other hand....
2 A couple of months ago, I was getting dressed and Kaitlyn was in the room with me. She pointed at my chest and said, "Mommy, what are those?" I told her they were my breasts and told her someday she would have some too. She grabbed her chest and looked down in horror. I was laughing so hard I was crying.
3 Kaitlyn and Ashlie have a play tent and last weekend, Kaitlyn coaxed her sister inside it. Once she got her there, she started "reading" some books to her. It was absolutely adorable.

Sleep in!! Mike will get up with the girls, make breakfast, and keep the kids entertained while I sleep in on Sunday mornings. Taylor and Hannah love their "special time" with Daddy, and I love the extra sleep! Of course I do the same thing for Mike on Saturdays!
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
I love the fact that I can exercise with my kids. Taylor loves coming to Strollerfit (and I'm assuming Hannah does too) and it is a terrific way to model healthy behavior for your kids! Also, I get a great workout and get to interact with a wonderful group of ladies.
Brag about your child(ren) - 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1. Taylor and Hannah both love going to Strollerfit classes, but Taylor also loves to "play" Strollerfit at home. She uses her baby doll stroller and "leads" Hannah and her babies in Strollerfit exercises. She even sings some of the songs and does some of the moves that Wendy uses.
2. When I was pregnant with Hannah, Taylor was curious about how Hannah got "in my tummy." I told her when a Mommy and Daddy want a baby they ask God and sometimes God makes them one. Well, fast forward one year.....
People always comment on how much Hannah looks like her dad, Mike. Taylor always asks if she looks like him too. Mike explained to Taylor that they both have special parts of him because he helped make them. Taylor looked up at him as serious as could be and said, "Are you God?"
3. Hannah is learning to point to her body parts. She points to her head when you say "head", her ears when you say "ears, and her eyes when you says "eyes". Her favorite part, however, is her nose. When you ask where her nose is, she gets this mischievous grin and sticks her finger up her nose!

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with a child in your life?
I still manage to spend one on one time with my husband, Gabe. We enjoy going to movies, playing miniture golf, eating out, or sometimes just reading on the coach together. This can be challenging with a 14 month old!
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
It's a great way to get the day started. I feel healthier since starting Strollerfit. I love that Kayla gets a chance to interact with other kids, and I have met a lot of wonderful friends!
Brag about your child – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1. Kayla loves to play with and tease our Australian Shepard, Makai. He will be laying chewing on a chew toy and she will take it from him and run away and giggle and squeal when he chases after her.
2. Kayla has turned into quite the little imitator. After the 5k walk a couple of weeks ago, I put her in her high chair and gave her a drink and a snack. I sat down at the table and drank some water. It tasted so good, that when I sat down the bottle I said "aaahhh". The next thing a know Kayla sat down her sippy cup and said "aaahhh". Now she likes to do it because she knowes she will get a laugh.
3. When we brought Kayla home we discovered a new talent in our dog, Makai. We always knew when she had a dirty diaper because Makai would go over and sniff her rear end, and then come over and look at us as if to say "are you going to take care of that?" He hasn't been wrong yet!

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
Honestly? The first thing that comes to mind is….NAP. I have been known to take a little Sunday afternoon snooze! My husband will spend some Daddy time with Grant and I will take a nap. Oh…how I have always loved naps!
When I was pregnant we put together a dinner club with four other couples. It is great because once a month we get dressed up and head to someone’s house for a fancy dinner party. It is a fun night out plus when it is my turn it forces me to cook and try something new.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
We love StrollerFit! Not only do we start our day with a workout that is fun for the both Grant and I, but we have met a lot of really nice people and babies. It is the best way to exercise, socialize and play with Grant all by 10:00 in the morning. It really is a great start to our day!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1. The new thing in our house right now is watching Grant "crawl" around and explore everything in sight. He has his own special way of getting around army crawl style. (It seems like so much work as he grunts and moans!)
2. Tim (husband) "brags" how he taught Grant to play catch at 8 months. He is a huge baseball fan and couldn't contain his excitement when Grant starting throwing the ball back to him. Of course, he often just puts the ball in his mouth, but he has been known on occasion to "perform" his trick for the video camera.
3. Favorite thing…..Grant’s Laugh! I just don’t think there is a better sound than his belly giggles. It is the best sound I have ever heard! Love it!!

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with a child in your life?
Take a bubble bath! I love bubble baths, so I make sure AT LEAST once a week I sit in one to relax (and relieve the muscle soreness) I also set aside time to scrapbook without the interruptions. It's important for me to capture all these amazing memories with my family. Most importantly, I make sure to get some time with my husband, Jeff. Whether it's going out with friends, attending a King's game, or just cuddling on the couch, we make sure to keep our marriage strong.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
Initially, I kept coming back to strollerfit classes to lose weight (I am thrilled to say that I have lost 3 pant sizes since beginning strollerfit in October) Although I still come back for the physical fitness and to start "toning" now, I love coming because of the friends Hunter and I have made! The women in strollerfit are so genuine, friendly, and supportive of one another. I am happy to be part of such an amazing group!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1. Hunter has always been one who wants to "communicate" with people. We have been teaching him sign language and recently he has been picking it up very quickly. His favorite one is "please" since he knows that mommy gives him most anything he asks for when he signs it- it just melts my heart! :)
2. Hunter is a very SNEAKY kid who loves to hide items. We have lost many things such as remote controls or car keys later to find them in the seat of his walker or in one of our shoes. You never know what little "surprise" he might leave you somewhere.
3. Hunter is full of energy and always on the go. He is quite facinated with any empty container. He will fill it up, dump it out, and fill it up again amusing himself for long periods of time. At MyGym, he spends most of his time moving the large, empty tupperware bin around- at times trying to escape out the back door. Without fail though, Hunter can ALWAYS put a huge smile on our faces. He is such a loveable child with the greatest smile and giggle!

One of the things I still manage to do for myself is exercise, which is one of the reasons I love StrollerFit. It's important for me to stay healthy and in shape and being able to do that with my child is fantastic.
I also treat myself to a facial every 3 months.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
Getting to meet other moms, the variety of classes so the exercise routine never gets boring, and the enthusiasm of the instructor, Wendy Hoag. Wendy's enthusiasm and energy always makes class fun.

1. Matthew started calling our dog, Brandy's name before anyone else's. Okay, it's only Bu, Bu for Brandy but he's been saying this since 7 months old.
2. Matthew is the most lovable and easy-going baby ever, in my humble opinion.
3. Matthew is starting to learn sign language. Matthew does only the "more" command currently, but he learned it after only one week. We're confident he'll learn lots more so we can communicate before he actually starts talking.

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with children in your life?
I still find time in the day to sit down with a good book. My daughter usually takes a nap that last about 2 or more hours. I usually try to wash a load of laundry and eat a bite or two. After that, I read until Maggie gets up.
What keeps me coming back to StrollerFit?
Well, for one, it's the ladies in our group. I not only look at them as StrollerFit classmates, but friends as well. They know the trials and tribulations of motherhood, and I guess I can relate to them in a way. Second reason is the results. I never knew just how out of shape I really was until I joined this class. I have gone down 2 pant sizes since joining. Though I'm not losing any weight, I am toning up and that was my intention when I signed up.
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging.
1. The other day, we put a CD in, a really heavy metal one, and Maggie started dancing like crazy. I pulled out the video camera and taped her doing her dance. She was really going at it and then she turned around. The look on her face was priceless. She had this "Did I give you permission to videotape me?" look on her face.
2. Another story really isn't funny but it touched my heart deeply. I was four months pregnant with Maggie when I traveled to my hometown to visit my family and my son. He didn't know that I was pregnant and I couldn't wait to tell him. When I finally did, I had half expected to hear "I hate you", "You don't love me", etc. since his father and I had divorced a year before. Instead, my son got quiet, looked at me, and said, "Mom, I've been wanting one of those for a long time!" To this day, I still tear up when I think of that precious moment that he and I shared.
3.Maggie, being the typical toddler, has discovered that she can "pick" her nose. But she has also discovered that she can "pick" unsuspecting people's noses too. One morning, she awoke and I got her and put her in the bed with me and my husband, Jeff. Maggie and I were watching Barney or something while Jeff slept. I took my eyes off of her for just a second to turn the alarm off. When I turned back to cuddle her, she was knuckle deep in her daddy's nose! I was in hysterics. She had discovered that she could "pick" her daddy's nose while he was sleeping and he wouldn't stop her. Surprisingly, he didn't wake up. I was laughing so hard that I couldn't make myself stop long enough to make her stop "digging".

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with children in your life?
Since James was born four-and-a-half months ago I have been very busy
with him. I do treat myself to a pedicure every month. Also, when I am motivated, (that seems to be waning lately) I swim laps and lift weights at the gym.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
As a new mom I found myself very isolated. The class gives me an outing to do with James that doesn't take very long (one hour is his limit). I love to exercise and doing it with James makes it very easy to participate. I love to come not only for the exercise but also for socializing with the wonderful moms and their children.
Brag about your child
1 When James was very young I would sing him "Baa, Baa Black Sheep" to help him calm down. Now, when he starts getting upset, usually when he is hungry and I am trying to prepare his cereal, I sing him that same song and he calms right down and starts to smile at me. It makes my heart melt every time.
2 James has so much energy. I can lay him down on a blanket and he will dig his heels into the floor and push himself backwards. He has been known to turn his body 180 degrees by using this move. I can only wonder what he will do when he begins to sit, and eventually crawl.
3 James loves playing with his Exersaucer. He has learned how to turn himself all the way around in it, and he especially loves a few of the toys. He loves the cell phone and the teddy bear rattle, but he really
loves the electronic book. Sometimes he doesn't realize that he is pressing his arm on the buttons for the book and the songs will
continue to play. I don't mind the music from the Exersaucer yet, but I know that eventually I will be singing those songs around the house.

Tell us a little about yourself:
My name is Kelly and I'm a first-time mom at 32. My son Gabriel is 2 & a half months old. I have a wonderful husband, Jeremiah, and two handsome step-sons. I am fortunate in that I get to be a stay-at-home mom. I find that to be a great blessing! I was teaching gymnastics right up until I gave birth, and that's something I may still find time to do in the future.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I still manage to spend time with God. I pray and read my Bible. I find that my quiet time with Him gives me peace and strength. Also, I still manage to take very long showers! My husband gets in his daddy-baby time and I get some time to be refreshed. I may also try and get away for a pedicure or massage every now and again.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
I am motivated by that stubborn 10 lbs!!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1. Gabriel was born with a full head of dark brown hair, almost an inch long... and when he came out it was all spikey just like his dad's!
2 . Gabriel is a very good nurser! He latched on immediately the very first time I breastfed him, and the nurse in the hospital said it was "bizarre". It was something I had prayed about, so thanks be to Jesus.
3. Gabriel is very loved by his big brothers, Christian & Isaiah. They are very helpful.

April 2010

Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging

March 2010

November 2009

October 2009

August 2009

June 2009

April 2009

February 2009

January 2009

LOL!

December 2008

October 2008

August 2008
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging

Alex is 3 1/2 and is becoming much more sophisticated with his language. We had zucchini for dinner one night, and he said, "Daddy, does zucchini come from the zoo?"
2 Julia is 14 months old, and she has already perfected her teenage scowl. She will pout, give us the puppy dog eyes, and sometimes even squeeze out some tears. She sometimes does it just to make us laugh!
3 I think it's really special that my kids respond so well to each other. They get along well, and I'm enjoying that while it lasts! I hope that I can teach them to value their relationship as they get older.

Tell us a little about yourself:

April 2008

Crazy kid!

February 2008

What keeps you coming back to Restore the Core classes?

Tell us a little about yourself:
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with a child in your life?
I make it a point once a month for atleast a lunch date with the girls. I try to keep up on scrapbooking, cross-stiching and just spending time relaxing with my husband.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit and Restore the Core classes?
I love the daily routine. Getting out of the house in the morning to exercise with friends starts the day off right. I love talking to other moms about their kids and getting advice from them.
Brag about your child – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 Aubrey has always giggled when we walk her up and down the stairs. We love the workout! :)
2 Aubrey is now starting to babble, which is so cute, but when it gets a little too quiet I know she is exploring something that she shouldn't be. (We need to baby-proof the house.)
3 Aubrey now gives us kisses, granted they are open mouth, slobery and on the cheeks, but I wouldn't have them any other way.

Brag about your child(ren) - 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 Ali likes to take my socks out of my dresser and throw them in the toilet bowl and when I catch him in the act he tries to run away as fast as he can.
2 He screams and giggles when we are chasing him around the house. That's his favorite game.
3 He just learn how to do peekaboo but instead of putting his hands on his face, he puts them on his ears. It is very funny.

September 2007

Theresa NewellTell us a little about yourself:
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
Mostly, I attend StrollerFit and Stroller Friends events. I also enjoy our Sunday School group at my church (Trinity Episcopal Cathedral).
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
I enjoy being generally more strong and fit, and I like to look better. But honestly, I keep coming to class so I can keep enjoying food!
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 Sam does the cutest little happy dance! (You just have to see it.)

I still do everything as I did before! Thankfully, nothing has changed in this regard!

The exercise when I’m off work and fun time Chase gets to have outdoors with his pals. It’s a great time for him and I.

2. So easy-going and HAPPY!

Tell us a little about yourself: My husband Mike and I have been married for almost 8 years. I work part-time from home for an insurance company. Our 18-month old son David is the absolute light of my life. He is such a joy!
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with a child in your life?
In addition to working and going to Strollerfit, I find time to just unwind and watch TV or read in the evenings after David goes to bed.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
I enjoy being able to work out while David gets to be with me and has a great time too. I also enjoy meeting other mom's of children similar in age to mine.
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging

2. She loves to hear stories about my husband and I when we young. She makes us tell the same stories time and time again. In fact she knows them so well she tells us the stories about our childhood!
3. Lauren is my songbird. She loves to sing at the top of her lungs. Broadway tunes, Sunday school songs and even the theme music to Star Wars! She loves them all.

May 2007

Tell us a little about yourself:
StrollerFit has become an important part of our morning routine. Without it, I'd still be wearing my maternity clothes. When I'm not working out, I am helping my husband with our business. As a financial analyst, I'm able to help families, just like my own, get on track to meet financial goals such as debt elimination and financial Independence. The business is very rewarding and I really enjoy working side by side with my husband. Our daughter Kaitlin is 20 months old and she keeps us laughing throughout the day. She truly is a blessing in our lives.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I consider myself a very valuable business partner to my husband and manage to get dinner on the table every night by 6:00.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
I love the overall workout. At the end of the week I feel great knowing that I have done something great for myself, and that in turn benefits my family. The other moms and kids are fun to be around, and I have made some good friends.
Brag about your children 3 funny stories or just general bragging.
1 Kaitlin shares my enthusiasm about StrollerFit.
2. Kaitlin can say the word exercise and enunciate each syllable!
3 Kaitlin can now do push ups, squats, and pitter patter her feet! I know I'm being a great role model for her.

After Ethan is asleep, I can always find time for a long bath paired with a magazine and glass of wine.
What keeps your coming back to Stollerfit?
I enjoy starting off the day exercising. Then I can spend the rest of the day guilt free. It helps that Ethan loves going too!!
Brag about your child(ren)-3 funny stories or just general bragging.
1 Ethan has a banana every morning for breakfast and with each bite he blows on it and says “HOT”.

March 2007

January 2007

What do I do for myself?
I have my own "spa" night, take a long bubble bath and then give myself a pedicure.
What keeps me coming back to stroller fit?
I find that I feel much better about myself after a workout. It's so nice to have Caleb with me and I know he has a great time. He especially likes the "dance" music and bounces up and down in his stroller.
Brag about Caleb.....
1. He gets daily complements from strangers on his flirty smile and beautiful red hair. And who in our family has red hair??? Nobody.
2. Today he learned the letter "D" and will say it out loud when we show it to him :-)
3. Caleb can say about 30 different words and knows many of the signs for them.

1 Cameron really loves to play "superman" (arms out to his sides and legs up ) when he's on his stomach.
2 His hair refuses to lie down.
3 He squeals all the time (as everyone knows from strollerfit)

Not much, LOL! I love to sew, and have been making myself workout clothes lately. I also like to read.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
The results. I've lost 27 pounds since I started coming. I also enjoy getting to be with the other moms.
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging
1 My kids are happy about the changes I'm making, too. They'll ask me, "Mom, how many fat grams are in this??" They tell me how great I look, too, which means the world to me.
2 Two of my kids are in private school and 4 are homeschooled. My oldest son, who is 15, just brought home his progress report. He's getting a 3.25 GPA! I'm so pleased. We've all worked hard for this, lol.
3 Furby, my stroller buddy, recently got to be taped for a Baby Signs video coming out in the spring.

I'm Joy, wife to John (also a teacher), and mommy to Sean (15 mos.)
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I keep a schedule to my day. I'm usually in bed by 10pm and up by 5:30 am. I try to eat three healthy meals a day.
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I still manage to take time for myself every day, even if it’s just a few minutes.

Well Tivo is my savior. I record all my favorite shows and make myself sit down and relax when he takes naps and goes down for the night. I actually get to watch more shows now cause i can just fast forward through the commercials and boring stuff!
What keeps you coming back to Strollerfit classes?
The facts that I get to go at my own pace, everyone there is so friendly and a joy to be around, and that I get to do something fun with my son.
Brag about your child(ren) – 3 funny stories or just general bragging

Monica FrancisMonica amazes us all with her creativity, openness and ability to juggle mommy tasks. She is mommy to 4, is a Sow's Ear purse consultant and household engineer.

Tell us a little about yourself:
My name is Gwen and I am mom to Kaitlyn (3) and Ashlie (10 months). My husband, Lamar, works in the financial industry. And we have a wonderful dog named Maverick.
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
I am an avid reader, so I try to find time to read during naps. Also, a friend and I have decided that we are going to try to go out once a month and have manicures and pedicures and maybe even a massage!

What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?

April 2006

March 2006

Love it!!

Tell us a little about yourself:
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with a child in your life?

Tell us a little about yourself:
What do you still manage to do for yourself, even with child(ren) in your life?
