With the great mix of cardio and strength training, in addition to stimulating activities for your baby, StrollerFit classes are the perfect way to get fit, stay healthy and bond with your little one. It's also a great place to meet new moms who share your active lifestyle!
STROLLERFIT FAQ's
DO I NEED A SPECIAL STROLLER?
Any sturdy stroller will work. It does not have to be a jogging stroller. Umbrella strollers are not recommended as they are too lightweight. You can also use a double stroller if you have more than one child.
WHAT AGE SHOULD MY CHILD BE?
Ages range form 6 weeks to 4 years. Your child will ride in the stroller for a large part of the class. During the cooldown at the end of class, the kids are invited to get out of the strollers and play.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO CLASS?
Please bring water for yourself and a snack and/or toy for your baby. Also, a blanket or towel is helpful for floor exercises.
WHAT IF MY BABY CRIES DURING CLASS?
No problem-we've all been there. Instructors will try to keep the kiddos happy with games and songs but baby always comes first so feel free to stop and feed or tend to your baby. You can rejoin class when you're both ready again.
DO YOU HAVE TO BE IN GREAT SHAPE TO DO A CLASS?
StrollerFit is for all fitness levels. If you have never exercised in your life, or you are a marathon runner, it is designed to accommodate everyone. You work at your own fitness level.
CAN I TAKE CLASS IF I'M PREGNANT??
Absolutely!! Once you have the ok from your doctor to exercise. Just listen to your body, drink plenty of fluids. Do low impact and low resistance. Exercising during pregnancy can help you have an easier labor and delivery and is proven to help get you back into shape quicker after you have your baby.
